The Institut für Nachrichtentechnik of the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) has successfully participated in many national and international research projects covering the research aspects of advanced physical layer algorithm design and verification for communications systems. The research group participating has proved its appropriate experience to international scientific and industrial research partners within the 4th R&D framework program of the CEC within the ACTS, the TEN TELECOM and in the LEONARDO project chains. TUD will participate in WP5 Ultra-Broadband Technology, where the TUD contributions will cover the radio channel modelling, the transceiver architecture and error protection as well as coexistence issues.

The SAP Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management is part of the Department of Business Management and Economics at the Dresden University of Technology. The chair focuses on technology and innovation management and business planning, a major field of interest lies in the connection of new telecommunication technologies with adequate business mod-els and strategies. Completed projects include planning and business modelling in the telecommunication industries, powerline communication, digital broadcasting, telematics, and m-commerce.
